That slavery was okay (but isn`t) and that they need to use the underground railroad and that the person thought she wasn`t seeing her son ever again

What stuck with me in the article was that there were code names for the different places and people. Like the people that help the slaves move to a safer place were called ''conductors'' and the slaves were called ''passengers''. People could talk about the escape route secretly without people knowing. They were able to out smart their slave owners by using the codes, which was very intelligent but was a great risk to them.

What stuck with me was that they where so desperate to escape that they would do things like hide in pews and take such a huge risk. They would have had to be extremely brave in order to do that, like when the mother in the video sends her son separately even thought she may not see him again.

What stuck to me was that instead of just watching people being forced into a life of slavery just because of their race some people took action and started to fight for what they believed to be right by sending people to Canada in a secret railroad so that they could be free. They chose to risk their lives to stop slavery.

What sticks with me is after all the conversations my mother and I had as well as watching the Butler ; I have come to the conclusion that in the past the women slaves where abused by there owners and if there husband was there a stuck up for her he was shot.so in my belief if people didn't care for the freedom of the slaves and help them escape then maybe today some students in our school or throughout North America there would be slavery. All of this information sticks with me because one it was a horrid time in history and two I believe this is all true.

It stuck with me that the Black people were able to escape the White people and that the White's had an education and didn't even notice how slaves were disappearing, when the Black's had no education and outsmarted the (rather stupid) White's. If the Whites were trying to keep their slaves then they should do a better job. Also I think that the Black people did the right thing by going to Canada instead of just sitting down and getting bossed around.

What stuck with me in the article is the fact that some people are just so desprate to get out of slavery, that they will even risk there lives for it. Another thing is the fact that they had code names for everything and that people will spend years working on a tunnle just to get out of slavery.

What stuck with me was, people don't just stand there they take action kind of like f.t.c (Free the Children). So, they risk their lives for it even though they know they have a good chance of being killed or sold to another slave trader

I agree with everyone that has commented. I especially agree with Quinn when he said that even though the slaves aren't nearly as educated as their rude and horrible bosses, they still out smarted them by escaping. And it must have been so scary trying to sneak away scared that someone will catch you and punish you even more than you already have been
